Where the specs and prices come from
Capacity, minimum temperature, chiller horsepower, filtration, dimensions, weight, and warranty terms are taken from manufacturer spec sheets, product manuals, and listing pages. Prices are typical list prices. This category discounts aggressively and runs financing promotions constantly, so read a price here as a tier — roughly what you should expect to spend — not as a live quote. Star ratings and review counts are aggregated from major retail listings; they are counts of other people's reviews, not scores this site awards.
Where the opinions come from
There is no test lab behind this site, no staff plunging every morning, and no hands-on testing — claiming otherwise would be the easiest lie in the affiliate business. The pros, cons, and owner notes are distilled from public discussion: cold plunge and ice bath subreddits, brand-specific threads, long-term owner write-ups, and forum posts from people a year or two into ownership. When enough owners report the same pump failure, the same rusted fitting, or the same support queue that never answers, it goes in the complaints. Condensing that into six bullets is editorial work, and the goal is to keep the wording as blunt as the owners wrote it.

The catalog was last reviewed on August 19, 2026. Models get added, prices get corrected, and discontinued units get flagged as they turn up. If something looks wrong — a dead product, a stale price, a brand that has since shut down — that is a data bug, not an ad.
